Planning your day....

Ha, one thing I have noticed in my life is that whatever I plan is surely not going to happen! On the way to work I list out the clients I plan to meet. At the end of the day when I reconcile my list, the names I put down in the morning are sure missing from the list.

Now I have stopped putting down the client list in writing but just keep them in my brain. Eeks! but its so difficult because in the end I tend to miss out one. But better than missing the whole lot. I wonder does it also happens to others or I am just the personal favourite of GOD!!!

Count your blessings

Very often it happens in life when we are in trouble we start cursing our life or get depressed. Best that I have learnt is start thinking about five good things still in my life. By the time time I come to the fifth I am out of my black mood. The sun is shining again. I end up thanking for all the good things in life. That time also shows me how at a particular time period I was depressed about a thing but in long run it turned out be for better.

We actually forget to look at the big picture we get stumped by a small portion of it. Life is too wonderful to let it drown in sorrow or sadness. Take every experience in your stride, trust me it will come out for the best

If wishes were horses.....

Life really does have strange way of treating you. Gods do grant your wishes, trust me!I live in a joint family ( no complaints totally enjoying). But as it happens with the joint families with kids growing up and space being static the house starts feeling a bit cramped. Same happened with us. One day I told my husband "Why don't we rent out a bigger house and all of us move their. I feel so cramped in this house. We need more bedrooms and moreover I need space to breathe more freely. And we could rent out this house." The Gods were listening. Now you all there whenever you are asking something from God please frame your wishes properly (like the lawyers do in their papers). Few weeks later my husband got a new offer to work in a different city with a 3 bedroom house (we are 4 plus the maid) with servant room at higher floor. The apartment is so planned that the cross ventilation really keeps the wind flow.So here was my wish granted with more bedrooms & a space to breath freely minus the support system of the joint family. Now I take deep breathes jog from morning to evening managing my job, house, kids, their sick periods, husband with his erratic schedule. So much so for more bedrooms & breathing space.

Best laid plans for toss

So many times in life it happens that you plan, plan & plan! But out it flies at the time of execution. Today was a weekend i was waiting for........! Let me fill you up with a little background why it was an awaited weekend.

My elder son goes to school very early that is at 6:30 am. So I get up at 5:30 am to wake him, pack his lunch and walk him to the bus stop which good half a km. from our place (i love that morning hour on the walk). He had his exams going for which we were sleeping late. Than i have a five year old who is bundle of energy and has to be sent at 8 am to his school. If you calculate you will see there is no rest time in between the hours the elder goes and the younger wakes (my husband is fitted somewhere in between). It is task to get him ready for school because after drinking milk he has to take a rest becase he tired after sleeping thru the night! Huh!

So today my elder son had his last eaxm & my younger has his day off! Hurray!!! I thought when the elder one leaves I will crawl back and go back to sleep as the younger one will sleep off late into morning and husband is on tour. I am my own lady! But with Gods conspiring against your best laid plans you can't win. As sson as I woke the elder one, the younger one pipes - "Is it already morning Mom, can I see the Sun rising?" I could see my sun setting right at the dawn. So stuck I am with a jumping jack with sleep in my eyes! Gnash, cheeeeok, nothing just gnashing my teeth.
